Fitness Friday

Last class we did a relay race with the other class for fitness. I couldn't participate because I hurt my lower back so I spent the class taking pictures of other people in our class so they can post it on their blogs. I hope everyone enjoyed the pictures because some of them actually turned out to be pretty nice. I really wanted to do this fitness because it didn't just look like they were having a regular fitness. It looked like they were having fun as well and we don't get those fitness days often. It's not just being better than the other people but its about being better then yourself so then when something actually happens when you need to sprint this will come in handy. Hope next fitness we can enjoy outside just like this one.

Dance week

Last week we had some students part of different dance teams come in for the block and teach us how to dance. Since we are stuck on the linear program for band we only got to dance twice. In the first semester we also did dance week and we did it for 3 days so it balances out to a full week either way. I thought dance week was pretty fun even if I wasn't the best dancer I enjoyed learning from my friends and other students. It was difficult to switch between steps quickly but I still tried my hardest to keep up with the speed of the song. Then the next class we had the other class join us for pe which was fun because I got a chance to do bhangra with my friends in the other class. I found bhangra a cool, unique kind of dance that I wouldn't be doing often so it was good to try new things. I'm looking forward to dance week next year.

Japanese buddies

Yesterday Miggy from the other class and I decided to stay after school to put up a couple shots in the small gym. Then the Vice Principal said she has to kick us out or we have to set up a game with the Japanese buddies and play basketball with them. Of course we love the game of basketball and the more people the better so we played a game with them. It turned out to be really, REALLY fun. I never regretted a minute of it. I also made a few new friends that I may never see again after they go back to Japan. These guys really enjoyed playing with us and some of them turned out to be very good because they played alot of basketball in Japan as well. Even if we didn't understand each other that much they were really polite and greeted me. I got a group photo of them but I didn't know if I was allowed to post it so heres a picture of Miggy and I.
