Progress

My goal for the end of the year was to touch the rim of a basketball hoop. I have achevied my goal awhile back but forgot to blog about it. My routine was doing some jump training and then doing leg workouts after. I looked out different work out and plyometric drills to see what I can make a routine out of.
This is my workout routine to do at the ymca at 7 in the morning almost every weekend.
1.Use the foam roller every 2 days
2.skip rope
3.squats
4.lunges
5.different fourms of jumping and balance
6.calf raises
7.balgarian squat

This video is for number 5.

On ocassion I changed it up to do different plyometric workouts and picked the ones that worked the most for me and made my legs super soar the next day. Repeating this got my vertical up to reach my goal.

  1. This is great Adam. You picked a goal that is very meaningful to you to stay motivated and your did some research how to achieve it. It can be very hard to increase a vertical (you can't change the muscle fibres in your body) but following this a couple times a week all summer will benefit you for sure. Good luck!
