Summer Plan

With the year ending I'm already thinking of the workouts I'm going to do for summer. My goal for the end of summer is to be quicker and more explosive for basketball. I'm going to test my speed by the end of the year by seeing how long it takes me to do a 100m sprint at bear creek from the start of summer and see my time at the end. I want a 7 sec difference from the start of the year to the end. I am going to watch a bunch of youtube videos and read a lot of articles to achieve my new goal. Equipment I am planning to use/buy are a mini parachute, leg weights, weighted vest, skipping rope, and a agility ladder. I'm going to use the equipment in different ways and all of them have great use for. I will use some equipment at the local gym everyday of the summer. My dieting goal for summer is no slurpees, pop, mcdonals/fast food, and high sugar candy. I will also try to become a better shooter and more muscular. This summer I am planning to work hard every single day with 2 other friends and Carlo. I'm looking forward to summer to become a better athlete and help my health.

  1. WOW! That is a whole bunch of goals! I like where you are trying to get. Couple things. 1) Don't do a 100M sprint… too long. Do man maker times or something shorter with changes of direction because that is closer to actual basketball. Maybe try a full set of suicides timed… that's lots of stopping and starting like hoops. 2) Healthy eating choices is super important so your no slurpees thing is awesome. Be balanced though. You need nutrition and lots of calories as a growing and training teenage boy so make sure you replace candy with something healthy and natural (no packages) that will fuel your body. :) You will be jacked next year if you work this hard.
